Hi! We are Cara and Ryan. We are so thankful and honored that you’re considering us! We want to do our best to connect with and empower you to make the best decision possible for both you and your baby.

We first met (or so we thought!) one summer at the beach, while we were both in high school. Several years later, we were assigned as co-counselors at a summer day camp and this is where we became friends before going away to college. After college, we reconnected and started dating. That’s when we found out that we had actually met in preschool...

She’s the life of the party, and their favorite person to be around.” Whenever we’re with family or friends, Cara is the first to suggest that we all play a game. She has this amazing ability to turn any boring situation into a fun, exciting one. “Everyone who knows Ryan would agree that he’s thoughtful, smart, caring, and fun. He’s really creative too and loves working on his art. But if he’s not doing that, you can probably find him playing football or basketball, or just playing with the dogs. Ryan is also truly hilarious! He has been mastering the art of dad jokes for years so he can't wait until this is an official title. I know he’s excited to do all of these things with a child, and to keep them in a near constant state of laughter! Ryan will truly be the best father any kid could ask...

We live in the suburbs of Baltimore. We love it here and never get tired of all the fun things there are to do! The food options are amazing and there’s something for everyone in this city. We can’t wait to take a child to the Maryland Zoo and Science Center, and to take them to Ravens, Orioles, and Blast games!

As much as we like spending time in the city, we also love being at home. We enjoy playing with our dogs in our big fenced-in yard, and sitting outside on our deck. We also like to hang out in our basement, which has a great movie-watching...

Our family are the most important people in our lives! We are extremely close to both sides of our families and have lots of younger nieces and nephews. We also are close to all of our cousins’ children, who are just like our nieces and nephews.

Not only do we have wonderful families, but we have some really amazing friends. Many of them have just started growing their families, so there are plenty of little ones just waiting to welcome, love, and play with this baby! Our friend group is rather diverse, which is an important value of ours and important...

Our Travels: We like to find and explore new cities to see the sites, learn about different cultures, and eat a lot of new food. We also love going to zoos in different cities and countries and can’t wait to do all of this with a child!

Our Favorite Traditions: We do a weekly Friday taco night where we cook together then play games. We always spend all of the holidays with both of our extended families in large gatherings filled with laughter, kids, and lots of food! We particularly love Halloween - we like to be creative...
